Another Problem Solved

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

Recently I met with a client who experienced constant sleep interruption. She had removed the TV from the bedroom and though sleep improved, she still had some interrupted sleep. She had a large bedroom mirror that faced the bed. I advised her to remove it and that was the end of her sleep problems!

Problem Solved

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

A client recently wondered why her once thriving home business was failing. After seeing her home, I told her that the old, stagnant pond in the wealth corner of her property symbolized her income…STAGNANT! I advised her to either fill in the pond and plant wildflowers, or revitalize it with a fountain so that the “flow” would be continuous.

Results were almost immediate. Within a month of beginning the work of cleaning the pond and adding a fountain, she had new accounts and the money began to flow in!

Trees

Monday, May 4th, 2009

It’s time to plant a tree! Trees clean pollution from the air, add oxygen for us to breathe, prevent erosion of topsoil, keep us cooler in the summer, and provide a wind break (especially pine trees placed on the north side). Trees give us a variety of fruit and nuts and provide a home for many beautiful birds. They even provide privacy and can block an unsightly view! Lastly, they soften and reduce sound pollution.

Garage Sale

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Yes, you can even apply Feng Shui to your garage sale. Setting up your tables; arranging the way items are laid out; positioning yourself to see everything and to be helpful to customers; arranging items by color, texture, and function; and even cleaning, polishing, and minor repairs that will show items in their best light. Lots of colorful signs, balloons, or flags also help to catch the attention of passers-by.

Seeking Better Sleep II

Monday, April 6th, 2009

The latest research shows two important factors that affect your sleep. First, there must be total darkness. Even the illuminated numbers on the clock willcause a part of your brain to stay awake and alert! Also, the room should be at least 5 degrees cooler that the rest of the house. The body produces melatonin when it is cooler, which helps you sleep better.

Add these two factors to the Feng Shui rules of the bedroom and you will sleep a deep and healthy sleep. If you are new to Feng Shui, here are the rules: 1. No TV in the bedroom! 2. No computer in the bedroom! 3. Little or no books in the bedroom! 4. No mirrors that can be seen from the bed! 5. No ceiling fan hanging over the bed! 6. No bathroom opening directly into the bedroom!

If any of these are a problem in your home, and you aren’t getting the quality of sleep you desire, call me and I can help you solve the problem.

Spring 2009

Friday, March 13th, 2009

It’s time for a change of seasons. I think we are ready for all things new. From the economy to the weather we have complained too long! Open up the windows of your home for fresh air, and the windows of your mind for fresh new ideas. Bring down the cobwebs in your environment…inner and outer! As the sun gets stronger, lets let our positive thoughts grow.

Clean out all that you don’t need or don’t love. Someone else may need and love the things you are tired of so pass it on, sell it, or recycle it. Make room for a happier, better, more streamlined life!

Local Economics

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

If you want a better economy, think local. A stronger local economy ensures that you will ve able to have goods and services at a more reasonable price. Produce grown locally is healthier…it didn’t get picked green and trucked across the country. That saves fuel costs and ensures that local farmers will continue to exist for you. Personal relationships with local service providers means better service and they need good public relations. After all, these folks are your neighbors.

A flourishing local economy is good for all of us!

Wealthy Thoughts

Saturday, February 14th, 2009

The way you think about money determines your capacity to bring more money into your life. If you find yourself constantly saying,” I can’t afford that, I need more money, I can’t make enough, my job isn’t good enough, the economy means I will never get out of debt, etc.”; the Universe says,” If that is what you believe, then I will make that your reality!”

Be careful of your negative thoughts and words…they will become your reality! Say things like ” Money flows to me easily and effortlessly!” “I always recieve enough to meet my needs.” “I deserve to enjoy an abundant life.”" I am grateful for all that I recieve!”

Say these often and out loud…believe that all things are possible…know that you are deserving!

Super Bowl

Sunday, February 1st, 2009

I am not a football fan! I make no apologies for that. What I am a fan of is people relaxing, getting together with friends and family, laughing, cheering, and forgetting for a day or two the challenges we face in our daily lives.

Whether you are a fan or not, have some fun! Enjoy the half time show, laugh at the commercials, enjoy some party food, and let yourself feel a sense of connection with all of the people worldwide who are doing the same.

Good fun is good Feng Shui.

Almost February

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

If Winter is getting you down, put on a red sweater and think about Valentine’s Day. It comes at a time of year when we need to feel loved and nurtured. If you don’t have a lover, have an intimate party with close friends. Turn up the lights because brightness feels good in the winter time. Serve warm food and maybe a special beverage like mulled cider or spiced wine. Definitely include flowers in your decorating scheme. Make sure you have lots of laughing…find some clever jokes to relate or funny personalĀ stories.

I can’t wait for my invitation!

Vitamin D

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

In the winter it is harder to stay upbeat and healthy. Why? Because there is a lot less sunshine and we are outdoors a lot less. Try to get exposed to as much natural light as possible. Your body needs to produce Vitamin D for good bone and cell health. Fifteen minutes a day of sunlight is all it takes! The side benefit is that our spirits are uplifted when we spend more time in natural light!

Go outside and play…it’s good Feng Shui!

Focus on Gratitude

Friday, December 19th, 2008

Take a few minutes today to be grateful for what you do have. Whatever you think about will grow. When you think about all that you have , the Universe will continue to make sure you will have more. If you waste your time thinking of all the things you don’t have or can’t do, the Universe will see to it that you continue to lack the means or ability to do those things or have those things.

You get what you “expect” either way.

Positive thinking is good Feng Shui!
